My experience as a mortgage lender and how it helps me better serve you as your Real Estate agent:

Managed group of lenders in the metro area – experience with managing possible pitfalls and options to correct any problems that might occur during the home buying process.

Personal production – I’ve taken clients step by step through the buying process.  Though lending products and practices are continually changing, I am familiar with a variety of options available to home buyers.

Training of mortgage brokers (wholesale) on various subjects including Appraisals For Non-Appraisers.  – most Real Estate agents will pull comparable sales and “guesstimate” a sales price for your property.  I actually take the time to determine dominant features, make adjustments, and analyze trends.

REO  (bank owned property) management and sales -  Experience in determining if simple fix-ups can maximize sales price in current market or if selling “as-is” is the better option.

My experience as a home buyer/seller:

Personally, I have purchased 2 primary residences, 3 investment properties, and 1 second home, and have sold 3 of these properties, so I am empathetic to what my client is experiencing.   I know the emotion and dreams attached to purchasing a primary residence as well as the analytical hat worn when deciding on a good investment.

Where do we start?

Information is the starting point in making any kind of Real Estate decision.  I think it’s important to understand my client’s long term as well as short term goals.  It’s important to analyze the market to set realistic expectations.  If it’s a purchase transaction, it’s important to understand financing options and get pre-qualified so we can present the strongest offer possible in a competitive market.  If you are selling a house, it’s important to decide what steps to take to prepare your home so that you are putting your best foot forward and getting the best offer.
